1.) Trømso, Norway

3.) Lapland, Finland
There is no excuse not to stray away from Helsinki when this fabulous destination is only a 90 minute plane ride away. The place to go in Lapland is the Urho Kekkonen National Park which boast winter activities for all. If you have ever wondered what it would be like to go on a real sleigh ride, look no further. These snow capped hills offer the perfect environment for a sleigh ride pulled by real reindeer that is perfect for the whole family. If you want to try a sportier activity, attempt cross country skiing on the winding trails.
4.) Zurich, Switzerland
If lights are your things, you don't want to miss out on a trip to Zurich. The city marks the start of the holiday season by putting on a display that consist of over 12,000 lights! You can look at these wonderful scenes while holding a warm cup of Swiss hot chocolate. Since Switzerland has some of the best chocolate in the world, I imagine their hot chocolate is also to die for. You can watch in amazement as the Connelli Christmas Circus performs amazing feats or enjoy festive holiday concerts in the nearby Grossmunster Church.
